About me...

I was recently given the versatile blogger award by Clara at Clara's Crochet Room. Thanks Clara!

I am supposed to tell you 7 things about myself, so here goes...

1: I love maths (and, yes, I am aware that this will make me a freak in the eyes of most people!). I love it so much that I have a degree in Mathematics and a Masters degree in Statistics.

2: I am the middle child of 3, with much of the baggage that brings!

3: I am only 4' 11'' tall. I don't know anyone else as short as me. Being short is rubbish.

4: I can play the flute. I passed grade 8 and once played a solo at school speech day. I'm a bit rusty now though.

5: I have loads of cookery books but still never know what to make for tea.

6: I love early 80's music. Electro pop - think Depeche Mode, Soft Cell and Human League - and New Romantic - think Duran Duran, Japan.

7: I only started running 4 years ago in an effort to lose my baby weight before I got married. The first time I ran 10K I was unknowingly pregnant with #2. And if I can run anyone can - I was always last in cross-country running at school having walked round the entire course! If you'd told me then that 20 years later I'd run out of choice I would not have believed you!

I'm supposed to pass this award on to 15 bloggers that I have recently discovered, but as it's the school holidays and I haven't been on the computer enough to discover anything like that number I'm only going to pass on the award to 2...

Both crochet blogs that I've discovered through the wonderful icrochet. Right, I think I'll leave it at that.

  1. So enjoyed reading your facts. My daughter is 5 ft. tall and says to tell you shorter woman are supposed to live longer than tall women and have much more success with labor. She's 22 so she knows everything! I really enjoy your blog.

  7. I know someone shorter than you! My friend Paula is 4'10". I'm only an inch taller than you, myself. I reckon I'd rather be 5' than 6' :)
