I ♥ Apples

 ♥♥♥ Apples ♥♥♥ 

One reason to be cheerful about Autumn - the new season apples!

Ashmead Kernal, Katy, Egremont Russet, Cox, Ribston Pippin, Lord Lambourne, Fiesta - the varieties for sale in my local grocer the other day.

And all these apples has led to more baking - English Apple Cake this time.

  3. I live near the village of Little Ribston, just outside Knaresborough. Its a pretty village and I have only just foundout that the apple orriginated there. The village is full of apple trees. Lovely. Sorry for deleting. My first attempt was barely readable. Youd think I'd be able to string a sentence together.

  4. Scrumptious! My farmshop has most of these varieties too. I love the names. Cider apples have some fantastic names like Foxwhelp, Slack My Girdle, Strawberry Norman and Hangdown.
