Well, I'm secretly hoping it won't actually snow despite it being forecast for tomorrow afternoon, but we've had a little flurry of snowfall inside over the last couple of days...
Snowflake numbers 2, 14, 29 and 54 from this book...
And a couple of teeny tiny snowflakes from this pattern...
We're out this evening to see the local Christmas light switch on and whilst I'm not hoping for snow, I am hoping for my first mince pie of the season. x
I have that book too and it's great! The only bad thing I would say about it is the photo quality is a bit iffy but on the whole a fab book! I tried to reply to your comment on my blog yesterday but found I couldn't but I just wanted to say you did make me smile about the checkout thing - it's exactly like me too - I have to pack it "my" way or nothing as I hate my shopping getting squashed!
Hi Victoria, you are killing me with these beautiful snowflakes! But for me it would be too tiny... I am more the big granny type... I do adore you for your patience. Greetings from Germany Mellie
Oh what beautiful crochet snow flakes, we are having falling snow this afternoon and it's almost as gorgeous as your had made lovelies. Thanks for the watered down PVA tip xox
Hello Victoria, I love your snowflakes! I bought this book but unfortunately have trouble following the instructions, diagram patterns are much easier to follow for me :) Great blog.....
oooh lovely - do you spray/paint them with anything to make them rigid?
ReplyDeleteElaine, I block them over tin foil and painted them with watered down PVA glue. Works a treat on thin crochet cotton and quite well on cotton 4-ply.
ReplyDeleteYou are a clever thing!!
