Happy days...

This week we've had a birthday...

No big cake for #1. Instead, my strange child requested marshmallow crispy cakes and chocolate fairy cakes with one Smartie on each.

She seemed to acquire a lot of crafting stuff in the way of presents.  I've got my eye on this tin once the contents have been used.  It'd be perfect for buttons or thread, don't you think?

I've managed a bit of crochet...

My parents returned from 3 months in Australia, bearing TimTams (like Penguins only better) and Musk flavoured Lifesaver sweets...

and the Amaryllis opened...

Also making me happy is an enforced break from housework - the vacuum is making the most disturbing noise and emitting a smell of burning and the engineer can't come until Monday.  The man at Dyson told me not to use it.  I won't need telling twice.

Happy weekend to you all x

  1. That tin is great...if I tried to pinch anything off my two I would be in big trouble. I wish you luck!! If only I could have waited for the engineer when my hoover packed up ~ we have a Dyson Doctor up the road ~ His Nibs had it there like a shot! ax

  3. The flower looks gorgeous! And I definitely think that craft tin would make a great button holder.

  6. Happy birthday to #1!

Peace and quiet is all I ask for each and every day. Just a bit of time when no one else is around. I only get that when all the boys go to bed; tv turned off. Peace, quiet ... BLISS!

Hope you find some blissful moments this weekend. Best wishes, Tammy

  9. I love your crochet, just beautiful. You can't beat a Tim Tam, they are just so yummy. When you want a little indulgence, have a Tim Tam. Trouble is it's hard stopping at one.
    Have a lovely weekend,
    Anne xx

I've never heard of a TimTam until now, I'm going to have to research those and find out what it is!
