Rocky Road...
...Christmas style
The recipe comes courtesy of Nigella, of course. Who else would think up such a thing? Lots and lots of chocolate, stuffed to bursting with marshmallows, amaretti biscuits, Brazil nuts and glacé cherries.
You can't really tell from the photographs, but of course I added edible glitter to the icing sugar dusting. It is nearly Christmas, after all...

I LOVE this recipe. But I've made it so often I'm a bit sick of it. It's so easy to vary too. Less dark chocolate and more milk chocolate makes it less rich. And I leave out the cherries.
ReplyDeleteJelly tots add an interesting little surprise. Crunchie goes well in it too.
Jamie Oliver was on tv last night making a rocky mountain that had popcorn in it too.

I'm going to make that instead of Christmas pud this year.
Enjoy. xxx
So, the edible glitter, did you smear a little across your cheek bones for a bit of festive sparkle? Don't deny it I bet you did. If you didn't then you missed a trick my girl.
ReplyDeleteGosh you have got my mouth watering!

yum yum - i always use Nigella's Rocky Road recipe - Merry Christmas Victoria!!
ReplyDeleteOh YUM!! It looks so delicious. Nigella is something else isn't she? I've been watching one of her programmes on t.v. and she loves flirting with the camera. Good to see someone enjoying the whole cooking process. I could learn something about that, sadly. :)
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and your family.
