This week I have been mostly...

wishing the plaster would hurry up and dry. I am more than a little fed up of the disruption/mess everywhere caused by the contents of #1's bedroom being in our room and on the landing.  Also, you wouldn't believe the trouble it caused when #2 discovered that #1 was sleeping in Mummy's room - they are now having to take it in turns.

So there's been very little in the way of crafting going on as I've made a start on the decorating and, in the evenings, we've been watching 'The Killing'. It's impossible to crochet while watching a subtitled Danish thriller, so the crochet will have to wait until we find out whodunnit!

Oh, and for those of you that are interested, there's a great tutorial for making snap frame purses at u-handbag.

  1. A new Danish political drama started on BBC this week from the same people as the Killing.

Its great tv but as you say not very helpful for crafty endeavours. I sat down to watch the first one whilst hand sewing the binding on my first ever quilt, it was very slooooowwwww. When you do find out whodunnit in Season 2 could you let me know.....I was recording it but the very last episode failed and I can't find a legitimate way to watch it!

  3. Ah now, I can see how watching something in Danish with subtitles is not conducive to a night of crochet!

  4. Oh shoot I missed "The Killing" I hear it is good more like LOST with the suspense. :) I can relate when I am really engrossed in a TV drama thriller I tend to let my crochet sit in my lap. :( Thanks on the Tutorial...love the paint color...

  7. Victoria I laughed out loud when I read the bit about #2 finding out about #1 sleeping in mummy's room... My kids are teenagers now and it so took me back :) I love all their ages and stages but that one was the cutest, at least from this perspective.

  8. I was off to a good start with making over my kids bedroom but then back to school sidetracked me and I haven't finished the organizing that needs to done. But it is a whole lot better than it was before. Good luck finishing up. Best wishes, Tammy
