and we were there at just the right time for the snowdrops...

So, half-term is finished. What with visits to the park, seeing friends and family and a bit of baking (iced fairy cakes and rock buns - the usual suspects), it seemed to fly by.
And I haven't even mentioned the inordinate amount of time my children spent industriously cutting pieces of coloured A4 paper into small squares. Why, I don't know, but we've had to keep them all. Children can be weird sometimes. And that's a small price to pay for a bit of quiet activity ;-)

Miracles!
ReplyDeleteDunham is one of my fave NT places!
ReplyDeleteI work at Quarry Bank....which is a smashing place to be!xxx
I love the bare trees of Winter against the backdrop of a brilliant blue sky Victoria. It looks cold but so refreshing and good fun for the kiddies. Alice went through a phase of making hama bead patterns for what seemed like hours and then threw them back in the box t start again!!? I wasn't complaining :0).
ReplyDeleteps. Love the little bunny you made (esp. the fabric lined ears, too cute for words).I have never tried amigurumi before, but as you say it may well be the crochet "in-between" project to do whilst I am waiting for my next flash of inspiration! xxx P
Lovely pictures of your day out - it looks like you had a good time. My philosophy has always been 'let sleeping dogs lie' - translated as 'if the kids are quiet then leave them be!' I'm sure those squares will come in useful for something - a mosaic picture maybe, or confetti for a pretend wedding!! XX
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely pictures; the snowdrops are beautiful
ReplyDeleteLooks like a beautiful day!
ReplyDeleteI remember my two doing exactly the same thing with bits of paper. They were going to make mosaic pictures but lost interest!! Good idea with the glue for my chicks. I've got some tiny pegs, I'll have a go! xx
ReplyDeleteI have just found your blog and love it! Dunham Massey is one of my favourite and most visited NT properties, so great to see your moving into spring pictures!!
