| the colours all look a bit florescent in this pic, they are a bit more muted in real life! |
An early night with a cup of tea, a homemade blanket and a good book (and not forgetting the hot water bottle!)
Bakewell tart.
Japanese crochet books. I only have a handful of these but I never tire of looking at them. The styling in them is incredibly beautiful. And I do love to crochet from charts.
There's also been more marmalade (orange and clementine which I think is the best I've made this year - the set was exactly the way I like it), a lovely lunch with an old friend I hadn't seen since early last year and a shift in the co-operative toyshop of which I'm a member. All small things, like the four pictured above, but enough to bring brightness to my days.

Edited to add: a few people have asked me about the stylecraft colours... they are Saffron, Aspen, Pomegranate, Meadow, Pale Rose and Walnut. I got it from Masons. It's a good price there, but the shades aren't always well represented on screen.

I am really impressed with how pretty the Style craft Dk looks in your blanket Victoria, I have been asked by a special friend to make a granny square blanket for her and I think I have made up my mind to use this yarn, its so versatile and affordable!
ReplyDeleteI have also been baking bakewell tart, I use the recipe from the BBC good food web site and it always comes out dare I say perfect. I could do with a piece right now before I lay down my sleepy head xox These are all little but excellent things to be celebrated x Penelope
